Neck pain is a very common complaint from many of our patients at Morreale Chiropractic. Because you use your neck for nearly everything, and it is the pure supporter of your skull, necks tend to be the problem area for many people. What many people are unaware of however, is that when it comes our chiropractors, we’re very aware that the neck is the mecca of the central nervous system. The brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves are very important to keep in mind when we adjust your neck. When a bone in your neck moves out of position, it is call a vertebral subluxation, and this is what we treat!
Your neck has 7 cervical vertebrae that are spaced with what we call discs. These jelly-like discs are what cushion and space your vertebrae accordingly, and these are what will give you the flexibility you need to move efficiently and effectively. During a vertebral subluxation, there are 5 different symptoms you may be feeling, they include:
Patients that have neck pain usually give us feedback that they’re feeling tingling in their fingers, a stiff neck or pain when turning their head one way or the other. Subluxations can show up in many different ways, and they’re all resulting in movement from a vertebrate that is out of place. Falls, sports injuries, poor posture and accidents are all incidents that cause you pain. Let us properly diagnose you and create a plan that can get you back up on your feet!
