Morreale Chiropractic is comprised of highly experienced doctors who are standing by to help you relieve the pain and stress in your life so that you can get back to feeling normal. We’re proud of the fact that we’re the official Chiropractors for Duquesne University’s Sports Medicine and that we’re the trusted doctors that treat the University’s students and teachers. We have a lot of new patients who call in because they need help but they’re not sure about seeing a chiropractor. We wanted to share the basics of what goes on at your local North Hills chiropractor so that all patients, new and old, know what to expect.
Visiting a chiropractor is similar to visiting any other healthcare provider. The office and intake procedures are very similar, but you’ll probably notice the distinctive appearance of our chiropractic table. They’re used to allow specific positioning and movement during spinal adjustments and assist the treatment process.
During the physical exam, we’ll start with a routine physical evaluation and then move into one that focuses on the spine with attention to areas of complaint. For example, if you have lower back pain, we’ll probably also look at your neck because the adaptations resulting from injury or sublaxation in area can result in pain in another area of the spine. Here at Morreale Chiropractic, we’ll likely take X-rays of your spine prior to treatment to study your bone anatomy and soft tissues.
After all of this, we’ll figure out a treatment plan for you that takes into account the extent of your injury or pain, your general health, the condition of your spine, and what your goals are.
